Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair options clearly, providing detailed estimates using estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools
- Recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, to enhance vehicle performance and safety
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services
- Manage service writing tasks accurately, including documenting customer interactions and repair details in the system
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate cash handling records
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and maintenance schedules to foster trust and loyalty
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Solid understanding of automotive diagnostics, collision repair, transmissions, oil changes, air brake systems, shocks & struts, tire service, and brake repair
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Knowledge of dealership operations and auto estimating processes is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience preferred
