Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: Greensburg, PA

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Possible Extension)

Shift: 12 hours a day, 3 shifts a week.

Shift Type: Day (07:00 - 19:30)

Night (19:00 - 07:30)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours weekly

Note: General Med/surg tele with focus on cardiac

Job Overview:

A Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry provides specialized nursing care to patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring in an acute care setting. This role focuses on monitoring heart rhythms, detecting abnormalities, and responding promptly to any changes in a patient’s condition.

Telemetry RNs work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to act quickly in urgent situations. Responsibilities include interpreting cardiac telemetry strips, monitoring patients before and after procedures, administering medications, and collaborating closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate cardiac monitoring, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
• Identify and respond promptly to arrhythmias or changes in patient condition
• Assess patients regularly, including vital signs and cardiac status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide post-procedure care for cardiac patients (e.g., post-cath, post-op)
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and discharge instructions
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of telemetry equipment
• Respond to medical emergencies, including code situations, as needed
• Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines

RN01

Required Qualifications:

• PA or compact active RN License
• Active BLS AHA
• NIHSS Certification
• 1 years of RN - Tele experience
• General Med/surg tele with focus on cardiac
• Active ACLS AHA
