Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg with a strong cardiac background to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. This role focuses on caring for patients with cardiac conditions, including post-cardiac procedures and structural heart cases, requiring continuous monitoring and timely intervention.

The RN will work in a dynamic environment, delivering patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients with a focus on cardiac conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and promptly respond to abnormalities
• Care for patients pre- and post-cardiac procedures (e.g., cardiac cath, angiogram, TAVR)
• Administer medications including cardiac drips, anticoagulants, and IV therapies
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Manage IV lines, central lines, PICC lines, and ports
• Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with wound care, surgical drains, and post-operative recovery
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety at all times

Required Qualifications:

• Active PA or Compact RN License
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 2 year of Med Surg experience
