Job Title: Certified Medical Coders-Outpnt & ED
Location: Bronx, NY, 10461
Pay Range:
$1300/week - $1600/week; $35/hr. - $42/hr.
(based on the experience, miles, and working hours).
Job Start: ASAP
Job Type: 13-week contractual extensions
Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Working Hours: 40 hrs/week; 8 hrs/day, and 5 days in a week.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Coder who has three years of experience and knowledge of ICD-10. Experience with EPIC and 3M is required. Candidates with both inpatient and outpatient coding experience will be ideal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical coding in an acute care setting.
- Must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, Encoder).
- Knowledge of coding guidelines, payer guidelines, and federal billing guidelines.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes.
- Ability to research coding-related issues.
- Competence in coder training.
- Must have CCS and be knowledgeable with the 3M/HDS coding application.
- Outpatient and ED experience.
Required Qualifications:
- AHIMA, RHIA, or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS
- COVID Card
- High School Diploma/GED
