Project Manager – HEOR Operations & AI Enablement

Location: Indianapolis, IN (hybrid)

Duration: 8 month rolling contract


Overview:

Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a highly adaptable and technically savvy Project Manager to support operational transformation initiatives within their HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research) organization.


This role will partner across multiple business functions to drive workflow optimization, automation initiatives, reporting enhancements, and operational process improvements in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals with exceptional communication skills, business systems aptitude, and hands-on experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and workflow automation technologies.


This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can quickly shift priorities, and enjoys bridging the gap between business operations and technology-enabled solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional operational projects supporting HEOR and adjacent business functions
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining alignment on timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
  • Support workflow optimization and process automation initiatives across business operations
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational efficiency, automation, and reporting enhancements
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and Microsoft Power Platform technologies to streamline workflows and improve team productivity
  • Support projects related to Salesforce ecosystem enhancements, integrations, reporting, and operational processes
  • Build and maintain project plans, dashboards, portfolio trackers, and executive status updates
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, quick reference guides, and communication materials
  • Assist with metrics tracking, reporting, and business insights to support organizational decision-making
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to implement scalable process improvements and automation solutions
  • Proactively identify risks, remove barriers, and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive operational excellence through strong organization, critical thinking, and continuous improvement


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of experience in project management, program management, operations, or process improvement
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
  • Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft platforms including: Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps preferred), SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Smartsheet
  • Experience supporting workflow automation and operational process improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to AI-enabled productivity tools and ecosystems such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or related technologies
  • Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, metrics, and operational tracking
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction in ambiguous environments


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience
  • Experience supporting Salesforce-related projects, operations, or integrations
  • Experience with workflow automation, low-code/no-code solutions, or AI-enabled business processes
  • Financial project management, budget tracking, or operational finance support experience
  • Experience supporting operational transformation or digital enablement initiatives
  • Familiarity with process documentation, change management, and stakeholder enablement


Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a highly proactive and adaptable project manager who combines operational excellence with strong technical curiosity. They are comfortable navigating evolving priorities, partnering across business and technical teams, and leveraging modern tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve processes, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.


This person does not need to be a software engineer but should be highly comfortable working alongside technology teams and using modern automation and AI tools to drive business outcomes.

Salary : $60 - $70
