Job Description: The Microsoft Power Platform Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting business applications, workflows, and reporting solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making across the health system. This role serves as a hands-on analyst, leveraging Microsoft Power Platform technologies to deliver scalable solutions that support clinical, operational, and administrative teams.
The ideal candidate has strong experience building applications and components within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, with particular expertise in Power BI, Power Automate Cloud Flows, Power Apps Canvas Applications, and Model-Driven Applications. This position has a significant reporting and analytics focus, translating business requirements into actionable dashboards, automated workflows, and data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support operational, financial, and clinical reporting needs.
- Design and build Power Apps Canvas and Model-Driven applications that improve business processes and user experience.
- Create, test, and support Power Automate cloud flows to automate manual processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Develop reusable Power Platform components, templates, and solutions that can be leveraged across multiple departments.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define reporting needs, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Analyze healthcare operational data and provide reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making.
- Optimize existing Power Platform applications and reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Participate in solution testing, deployment, and end-user support activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, and user guides.
Skill Set Requirements:
- 4 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
- Experience building and supporting Power Apps Canvas Applications.
- Experience building and supporting Power Apps Model-Driven Applications.
- Experience developing Power Automate Cloud Flows.
- Experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience supporting healthcare organizations, hospitals, or integrated health systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, revenue cycle, or regulatory reporting.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or enterprise data warehouses.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, Epic, Cerner, or other healthcare systems.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
Education/Certification(s)/License(s):
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
