Field Implementation Specialist
18-36 month contract
This position requires up to 95% travel Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $45/hr (non-negotiable)
The Field Implementation Specialist is an entry-level, national position that serves as the primary liaison representative providing post-sales customer support during the installation, implementation, and training of clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers/instruments.
You will be mentored to provide highly visible, self-supervised, self-directed, and extensive onsite advisory customer support. While some job tasks may be performed remotely, this is a field-based, national role which requires 95% travel to client sites, including overnight travel Mon-Fri every week. Additionally, you will need to currently reside within 50 miles from a major, metropolitan airport in the US since relocation benefits are not provided.
The Opportunity
- Learns and provides entry-level support as the primary liaison/customer support representative throughout each customer implementation
- Validates analyzer installations (check the accuracy of the analyzer)
- Identify training gaps by assessing customers' organizational structure, analyzers/instruments, workflow, and current knowledge/experience
- Develops and delivers training to customers, set up processes and expectations, including planning and coordination for implementation
- Provides first-level of support and problem solving of issues that arise for customers during the lifecycle of the solution; refers only the most complex issues to higher levels
- Identifies opportunities for new system consumables for clients (i.e. reagents, primary antibodies, biomarkers, software)
- This is a field-based role
Who You Are
- Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- 3 years previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT support in a clinical lab environment
Preferences
- ASCP certification
- Ability and willingness to rapidly gain and apply new knowledge, solutions, and skills for Roche chemistry and IT solutions
- Effective customer communication skills (written and verbal), positive attitude, helpful customer interaction, and fostering of strong internal and external customer relationships
- Effective time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work as a field-based individual contributor with independence and autonomy
