Operator – Visual Inspection | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI | 100% Onsite

Contract: 6 months

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: $25–$26/hour depending on assigned shift


Available Shifts & Pay:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM | $25/hour
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM | $26/hour


Position Overview

We are seeking an Operator – Visual Inspection to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at a parenteral manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

This individual will be responsible for performing manual and automated visual inspection activities to ensure pharmaceutical products meet established quality and safety standards. The role involves operating automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment, completing accurate batch documentation, and following cGMP requirements and established SOPs.


New Employee Orientation & Training

All new hires will participate in NEO (New Employee Orientation) and initial training. During the first several weeks and potentially the first couple of months, employees should expect to work approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM on day shift.


Following successful completion of orientation and training, employees will transition to their assigned shift:

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM | $25/hour
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM | $26/hour

Only 2nd and 3rd shift positions are currently available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual, automated, and semi-automated inspection of pharmaceutical products.
  • Set up and operate non-aseptic manufacturing and inspection equipment within controlled facilities.
  • Follow all SOPs, cGMP requirements, safety policies, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Accurately document manufacturing and inspection activities using paper and electronic batch documentation systems.
  • Monitor equipment and manufacturing processes using HMIs and other computer-based systems.
  • Identify and assist with troubleshooting basic production or equipment issues.
  • Support production line setup, operation, and changeovers.
  • Maintain a strong focus on product quality and attention to detail throughout the inspection process.
  • Participate in required training, department meetings, and team activities.
  • Maintain compliance with all site health and safety requirements.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination.
  • Ability to pass a required eye examination and distinguish colors.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and protective gloves.
  • Ability to initially work the day-shift NEO/training schedule and then transition to 2nd or 3rd shift.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts when required.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a cGMP/GMP-regulated environment.
  • Experience performing manual visual inspection.
  • Experience operating automated or semi-automated inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with PMX, MasterControl, Flow-stream, or similar electronic batch documentation systems.
  • Experience using HMIs or computer terminals to monitor manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
  • Experience supporting production line setup and changeovers.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
