Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Director, Employer Health Access to expand employer adoption of the health plan. This role is responsible for establishing new employer relationships, strengthening access to the client's provider‑aligned coverage model, and representing the health plan across the employer and advisor community. This leader operates primarily in the field, working directly with employers, advisors, and partners to guide organizations toward coverage solutions that align quality care, affordability, and provider integration. The role also includes leadership of a small, highly experienced team, with expectations to lead through direct engagement rather than administrative oversight.
Technology and AI‑enabled tools are used to support prioritization, planning, and execution—but success in this role is driven by presence, credibility, and disciplined follow‑through.
Key Responsibilities
Employer & Market Access
- Establish new relationships with employers seeking provider‑aligned health coverage
- Serve as a knowledgeable representative of the client's access model and care network
- Spend the majority of time in‑market, engaging employers, advisors, and partners directly
Coverage Adoption & Expansion
- Guide employers through evaluation and adoption of health plan coverage
- Support expansion of the client's presence across assigned markets
- Maintain a structured, disciplined approach to opportunity intake and prioritization
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a small, high‑performing team focused on employer access and coverage growth
- Set clear expectations and accountability for field activity and outcomes
- Partner closely with internal teams across operations, network, and clinical programs
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in healthcare coverage, employer benefits, or health plan environments
- 4–6 years in roles focused on employer engagement, coverage expansion, or market access
- 2–4 years in a leadership capacity managing experienced professionals
- Strong knowledge of:
- Employer health coverage structures
- Advisor and consultant engagement models
- Fully insured and self‑funded arrangements
- Proven ability to operate independently in a field‑based role
- Comfortable using modern tools (CRM, analytics, AI‑assisted planning) to support execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a provider‑sponsored health plan
- Background working for or alongside integrated delivery systems
- Prior experience as:
- A benefits advisor or consultant
- A health plan leader supporting employer adoption
- Familiarity with North Texas employer and advisor markets
Salary : $95 - $115
