Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager to oversee operations within our construction, property maintenance, and HVAC service departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of HVAC/R systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and equipment repair. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage a diverse team of technicians and maintenance staff to ensure efficient project execution and high-quality service delivery.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations across construction sites, HVAC/R systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and appliance repair projects
- Coordinate and oversee field service activities including equipment repair, maintenance, and installation
- Review schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate implementation of projects
- Manage maintenance schedules for HVAC systems such as air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all operations
- Lead troubleshooting efforts utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose issues effectively
- Oversee property maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs and general facility upkeep
- Train and mentor technicians on technical procedures related to HVAC/R, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, and boiler operation
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and ensure timely completion of projects
- Manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for equipment repair and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or property maintenance with a strong background in HVAC/R systems
- Service technician experience with knowledge of schematics, HVAC design, appliance repair, and equipment troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and general machinery repair
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment effectively
- Experience in field service roles involving equipment repair and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and refrigeration technology
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred for travel between sites
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to ammonia refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, boiler operation, and general maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
