Shipping Clerk

Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk provides frontline support to the Sales and Shipping Departments by

Making phone calls regarding Production and Shipping dates to ensure customers' timelines are met, and helping report backordered products that did not get delivered. This role ensures that shipping and production are efficient, enabling all team members to perform their jobs effectively.

Key Responsibilities (Other duties as assigned):

· Making phone calls to customers on the production of doors to ensure that the shop is not producing doors that sit around for extended periods

· Making phone calls to customers and receiving calls back confirming ship dates

· Accurately put in notes and and instructions into the computer system.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment

· Communicate with Sales, Production, and Shipping teams regarding updates, shortages, or discrepancies

· Assist with Will Calls when customers come in periodically

· Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

· Support other warehouse staff with general duties as required

· Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift

Key Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Ability to lift heavy materials (typically 50–100 lbs) repeatedly

· Strong work ethic and reliability

· Attention to detail and strong organizations skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

· Prior shipping/receiving experience is a plus

· Team player with good communication skills

Physical Requirements:

This position involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials, as well as standing, walking, bending, and other repetitive physical tasks. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while maintaining accuracy and safety.
