Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Licensed Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing professional guidance to patients regarding medication use, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with physician orders
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and contraindications
- Provide patient counseling on proper medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and organizational ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems Prime Rx MMS
Work Environment:
This position may require standing for extended periods and working flexible hours, including weekends depending on operational needs.
