Position Details
- Patient Population: Cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Setting: Inpatient / Operating Room
- Responsibilities: First assisting in cardiothoracic surgeries, inpatient rounds, ICU and telemetry coverage, and procedures
- Required Procedures: CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, lung resection, vein harvesting, and chest tube placement
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: Surgical team support
- Patient Volume: Approximately 1–2 surgeries daily
- Schedule: Weekday coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with overnight call from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekend Coverage: 24-hour coverage, 7:00 AM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday, for approximately one weekend per month
- Call Requirements: 1–2 call days per week, including overnight call and weekend coverage
- November 12 at 7:00 AM – November 15 at 7:00 AM
- November 25 at 7:00 AM – November 30 at 7:00 AM
- December 18 at 7:00 AM – December 28 at 7:00 AM
- January 22 at 7:00 AM – January 25 at 7:00 AM
- January 29 at 7:00 AM – February 2 at 7:00 AM
- February 5 at 7:00 AM – February 8 at 7:00 AM
- Additional dates to be determined
- Board certification required
- Active Kentucky license highly preferred; candidates willing to obtain a Kentucky license may be considered, subject to facility approval
- ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
