Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various printing presses, including flexo presses and CNC machines, to produce vibrant, accurate prints.
- Prepare printing materials by setting up screens, adjusting color management systems, and ensuring proper layout design.
- Conduct prepress tasks such as file preparation, proofing, and color calibration using Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic design tools.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to identify and correct issues related to color accuracy, registration, and print quality.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine machining, troubleshooting mechanical problems, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Manage inventory of printing supplies and raw materials to ensure seamless workflow continuity.
- Collaborate with design teams to interpret print advertising requirements and optimize layouts for maximum visual impact.
Skills
- Proficiency in screen printing techniques and prepress processes including file preparation and proofing.
- Strong understanding of color management principles to ensure consistent print results.
- Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments, including familiarity with flexo press operations and CNC machinery.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling within the production area.
- Skilled in quality control procedures to uphold high standards of print accuracy and durability.
- Basic understanding of typography, layout design, and print advertising principles for effective visual communication.
