Print Production Operator

Wheelhouse Graphix is looking for a smart, reliable, hands-on person with a positive attitude to join our production team. We’re a fast-paced print and graphics company producing signs, banners, wall and window graphics, displays, and a wide variety of custom projects. Because we operate with a small team, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, learns quickly, works well with others, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to get the job done.

Print or sign production experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person. Reliability, attitude, problem solving skills, and willingness to learn are more important to us than knowing every piece of equipment on day one.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Print Production Operator, you'll assist with production and finishing of print and signage projects, including:

• Operate large format printers and other production equipment
• Set up and prepare files for production using RIP software (Caldera)
• Load and unload media, inks, and substrates
• Laminate, mount, trim, cut, weed, mask, and finish printed graphics
• Operate digital cutting and routing equipment
• Operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials as needed
• Assist with off-site signage and graphics installations as needed
• Perform quality control throughout the entire production process
• Prioritize work and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
• Follow production instructions, proofs, and established processes
• Receive incoming materials and organize them in the appropriate areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on production equipment
• Help troubleshoot production issues and communicate issues when they arise
• Take initiative to identify what needs to be done next and keep production moving
• Assist with other production and shop responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in large format printing, sign production, graphics production, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred but not required
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience with RIP software is a plus
• Comfortable working on Mac and/or Windows platforms
• Ability to read measurements and accurately follow job specifications
• Strong attention to detail and quality control

Physical Requirements:

This is an active, hands on production position that requires regular standing, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the production area. You must be able to lift and move materials weight up to 40 pounds and assist with handling larger sheets, rolls, and finished graphics when needed. Schedule:

• Full time position
• Monday-Friday
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Standard hours are 9:00am-5:00pm
• Some overtime may be required during peak production periods
