Production Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations in our R&D and pilot-scale production facility. This role bridges research and manufacturing, scaling innovative formulations from beaker to production scale while maintaining tight control over quality, safety, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with experience in materials science, chemical process scale-up, and team development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laboratory and pilot-scale manufacturing operations for resin and pellet production.
- Coordinate logistics for finished goods and raw materials.
- Design, implement, and optimize scale-up processes from R&D formulations to commercial manufacturing quantities.
- Collaborate with the Technology and Product teams to plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and validate new products.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control systems to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and mentor lab technicians/operators to foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and technology transfer to external manufacturers as needed.
- Contribute to the ongoing ISO certification and quality management initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years in R&D, pilot plant, or manufacturing roles related to advanced materials, polymers, or chemical processing.
- Demonstrated experience scaling processes from lab to production.
- Strong knowledge of lab safety, quality systems, and process control.
- Proven leadership experience in recruiting, training, and managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; data-driven decision maker.
- Hands-on experience with reactor systems, filtration, drying, and polymer processing is preferred.
