Line Cook/ Prep Cook
Mecatos Bakery & Cafe in Orlando, FL is looking Full timeline cook to join our talented team. We are located in Metrowest, Orlando area (2900 S Kirkman Rd.). Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, able to work alone and multi-task as well as reliable. Weekend availability a must.
**Ability to speak Spanish preferably**
Responsibilities
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks' food items by frying or baking, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Organization of freezer and refrigerator
- Mix and blend batters
- Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
- Prepare and maintain inventory
- Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
- Cook existing items already prepped as they are ordered
Qualifications
- Attention to detail in all aspects of cooking/baking
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Line Cook Experience
- Experience as a Baker/cook a plus
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to multitask is a must
- Ability to work alone
Salary : $15 - $18
