Mecatos Bakery & Cafe located at 2904 Curry Ford Rd Orlando, Fl 32806 is looking for a line cook to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is hard working, motivated, and very responsible. **Bilingual**English/Spanish**
Responsibilities
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks' food items by frying or baking, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Organization of freezer and refrigerator
- Mix and blend batters
- Set oven temperatures and monitor or modify as needed
- Prepare and maintain inventory
- Clean and sanitize workstation and equipment
- Cook existing items already prepped as they are ordered
Qualifications
- Attention to detail in all aspects of cooking/baking
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Line Cook Experience *Experience as a Baker/cook a plus
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to multitask is a must
- Ability to work alone
