Job Summary:
Mecatos Bakery & Café, located at 5645 Hansel Ave., is looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to help lead our team in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high operational standards. The Assistant Manager supports daily operations, team leadership, and ensures a clean, efficient, and positive work environment.

Store Hours & Location:
5645 Hansel Ave.
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions
- Train, supervise, and coach team members to ensure excellent customer service
- Utilize POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Monitor inventory to minimize waste, manage stock levels, and coordinate food ordering processes
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations
Experience:
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments
- Strong background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence
- Hands-on experience with POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety practices, inventory control, and food handling procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant leadership
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
