Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a resource for employees and managers; recommends action within HR and/or to employees and managers; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with the goal of future problem prevention.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develops effective recruitment strategies. Conducts full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers primarily for non-exempt hourly and salary positions at designated location(s).
- Provides guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Researches, analyzes and develops recommendations for continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs; assists in the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures.
- Delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional HR areas for diverse audiences of employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system, and analyzes HR reports and metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Partners with HR centers of expertise (COE) (e.g. Payroll and Benefits) to resolve related employee inquiries.
- Ensures the confidentiality and security of employee data and records.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in HR management.
- Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Effective communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees.
- Demonstrated skills in employee relations with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making.
- Solid computer skills including enterprise HRIS applications.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three years of related professional human resources experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certifications preferred.
