This role will partner with the Operations and Engineering teams, to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing production lines and devising test procedures to identify manufacturing deficiencies that cause quality control issues
- Developing standards for the department
- Documenting how systems work and analyzing the state of the system
- Writing, executing and managing test cases
- Process documentation, workflows, process improvement, and help build standards
- Forming tools and ideas needed for day-to-day management
- Participating in designing metrics for measuring performance and process improvements
- Providing suppliers with technical oversight and expertise in areas such as process development, Lean Six Sigma tools, measurement systems, preventive maintenance, and mistake proofing
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, quality control processes and manufacturing workflows
- Ability to identify defects, inconsistencies or process deviations
- Strong analytical thinking to troubleshoot quality issues and suggest solutions
- Ability to document findings, write reports and effectively communicate with teams
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software packages
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens)
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Familiarity with tools like calipers, micrometers or CMM
- Internship or project experience in quality engineering, manufacturing or product testing
