What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Operator position at Measurement Systems, Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work all day with a microscope
- Assembles products to engineering specifications and drawings using tools provided
- Use soldering irons, microscope, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work.
- Assemble parts and perform tasks such as harness installation, wire stripping/crimping, Sub and final assemblies
- May assemble prototype units for engineering
- Recommends solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools
- Assists other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products
Required Skills:
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working all day with a microscope preferred
- Experience with soldering
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired skills:
- Experience as an assembler in defense manufacturing or aerospace
- Ability to follow directions
- Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look at dimension)
- Experience in using basic manufacturing equipment, small tools such as tweezers and multimeters, torque and force gauges, etc
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well on a team as well as alone
- High motivation and drive
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for an extending period
- Ability to work with your hands in a repetitive cycle
