Meals on Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator to support the dedicated volunteers who deliver meals—and connection—to homebound individuals across our community.
This is a highly people-centered role managing approximately 180 volunteers, ensuring daily meal delivery runs smoothly while creating a positive and engaging volunteer experience.
What You’ll Do
- Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers
- Manage daily and weekly volunteer schedules
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer communication
- Foster a welcoming, mission-driven volunteer culture
- Coordinate volunteer recognition and engagement efforts
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with staff on operations
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit work, or similar role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable managing schedules and working with databases/tools
- A genuine passion for community service and working with people
