The Packer is responsible for accurately packing food items according to established plating and packaging guidelines, ensuring each item looks consistent, meets quality standards, and is correctly labeled before going to upstairs or pickup area. The role works in a fast-paced environment and supports smooth kitchen and grocery operations by keeping up with production needs and maintaining a clean, organized work station.
Key responsibilities-
Pack prepared foods, grab-and-go items, and other products following standard plating, portioning, and packaging guidelines.

Verify that each item matches the spec: correct components, portion size, garnish, container, and lid, with neat and consistent presentation.

Apply the correct labels and check that product names, allergens, are accurate.

Work efficiently to keep up with production lists and customer demand in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Communicate low stock, missing components, or quality issues to supervisors or cooks immediately.

Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper glove use, handwashing, temperature control, and product rotation (FIFO).

Keep the packing area clean and organized, including work tables, tools, smallwares, and packaging supplies.

Experience in grocery, deli, kitchen, or food production is a plus but not required; on-the-job training provided.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual plating guides or spec sheets.

Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Able to lift, carry, and move boxes or trays of product (commonly 25–40 lbs) and work in cold environments when needed.
