Labeling Associate

The Labeling Associate is responsible for accurately applying labels to packaged products, ensuring each item has the correct product name, date, and any required information before it reaches the sales floor or customers. This role works closely with packers and kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment to maintain accuracy, consistency, and compliance with food safety and store standards.

• Apply labels to packaged products according to established guidelines and production sheets.

• Verify each label for correct product name, ingredients/allergens, barcode as required.

• Match labels to the correct item and packaging, ensuring consistency with plating and packing specifications.

• Inspect packages for correct seal, cleanliness, and overall presentation before labeling.

• Organize and rotate label rolls or sheets; keep track of label versions during menu or price changes.

• Communicate any label errors, missing information, or packaging issues to supervisors immediately.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

• Experience in grocery, food production, or labeling is helpful but not required; training provided.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when matching labels to products.

• Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced, repetitive task environment.

• Comfortable working with small print, barcodes, and handheld label printers or basic computer systems.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures.
