Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Activities to join our team at Meadow Falls of Madison, a premier senior living community in Madison, OH. As a Director of Activities, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities and programs for our residents, promoting a sense of community and social connection. If you are a creative and organized professional with a passion for seniors and a knack for building relationships, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program, including arts, crafts, exercise classes, and social events

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized activity plans for each resident

• Plan and execute special events and outings, such as concerts, meals, and excursions

• Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and events

• Maintain accurate records of activities and events, including attendance and participation rates

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make recommendations for improvement

• Build and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to foster a positive and engaging community environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred

• At least 0 years of experience in activities or recreation therapy, preferably in a senior living setting

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
