The Role: Meadow Brook School is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to serve as our School-Year Secretary in our vibrant early childhood setting. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A friendly, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are essential in helping create a school environment that is welcoming and responsive to families, students, and staff.
Responsibilities Include:
- Utilize SmartFind Express to manage and assign daily substitutes for staff absences and meetings, including some responsibilities outside regular school hours; this duty includes an additional stipend.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive student and school information
- Manage interoffice and postal mail; answer and route phone calls professionally
- Monitor the school’s video surveillance system
- Operate the school’s intercom system and make announcements as needed
- Create the daily parent pick-up list
- Order and track school supplies using Munis; manage inventory and distribution
- Submit school payroll grids, timesheets, and applicable payroll forms
- Work closely with the Principal to manage student activity funds and petty cash
- Secure substitute personnel
- Assist with employee reimbursement forms and other clerical needs as directed
- Qualifications:
- Experience with PowerSchool, Munis, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy office environment
- Strong initiative, reliability, and attention to detail
