Job Summary: The Window & Exterior Door Sales Representative drives sales by helping customers select the right window and door solutions for residential and commercial projects. This role works closely with homeowners, contractors, and builders, providing product knowledge, accurate quotes, and reliable service to ensure a smooth process from initial contact through project completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including homeowners, general contractors, builders, and remodelers.
- Consult with customers to assess their needs and recommend appropriate exterior and interior door and window products, materials, and styles.
- Prepare detailed, accurate quotes and proposals in a timely manner and present customers with those quotes and proposals.
- Read and understand blueprints, drawings and other CAD files to assist with the quoting process.
- Follow up on leads and actively prospect for new business through networking, referrals, and outreach. Field walk-in customer requests and assist customers with questions relevant to the Lumber Yard and product sales.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations in showroom, at job sites, or at customer locations.
- Stay current on product lines, industry trends, building codes, and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate with installation teams and project coordinators to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activity in CRM and business software systems.
- Attends trade shows, home shows, and industry events as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- The Window & Exterior Door Sales Representative reports to the Branch Manager. The Window & Exterior Door Sales Representative does not have any direct reports.
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials, home improvement, or construction.
- Knowledge of exterior doors and windows — including materials, brands, energy efficiency standards, and installation considerations — is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with BisTrack and BlueBeam preferre. Proficiency with CRM software such as HubSpot and basic computer applications is a plus.
- Must have a valid class D Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally may be required to walk throughout the yard, production environment or a job site to perform some aspect of assigned duties.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States with no current or future need of assistance for sponsorship from an Employer.
