Responsibilities Include
- Serving as the project engineer for civil/environmental water and wastewater projects
- Overseeing the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipalities, industries, and investor-owned utilities
- Assisting with construction administration associated with facilities
- Developing calculations and detailed design
- Collaborating with project managers and clients toward implementation of designs
- Writing engineering reports and technical memoranda
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to staff
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, environmental, chemical or biological engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least four (4) years of relevant water/wastewater project experience
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states
- Experience with planning, design and analysis of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems, sewer force mains, lift stations, and similar projects
- Experience with groundwater wells, clear wells, elevated storage tanks, and pump stations
- Hydraulic and/or treatment modeling experience
- Construction observation experience
- Experience with municipal and county government client interaction
- Experience creating project scope and fees
