Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as an Entry-Level Engineer in Charleston, SC.
Responsibilities include:
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents, computations and quantity estimates
- Assists with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
- Assists with development of probable construction cost estimates for projects
- Carries out job-specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual
- May visit project sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per the contract documents
- May serve as onsite project representative
- May assist with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects
- May attend client meetings
- Other duties as assigned
A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited college or university.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Transportation design coursework
- EI or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Experience using MS-Word, Excel,
