Survey Technician

As a result, a full-time position is available for a Survey Technician to join our Aviation Midwest group based at our office in Fargo, ND. Projects may include runways, taxiways, airport aprons, roadways, data centers, transportation/DOT, and other various projects.

Responsibilities Include

• Leading and directing survey crews in the field, ensuring adherence to project requirements, safety procedures, and efficiency goals
• Assisting with applying surveying methods and construction practices
• Downloading and organizing field collection data, coordinating files, field book files and field drawings
• Working in the field for and with clients or their representatives.
• Maintaining survey vehicle, equipment and tools on a daily basis to maintain vehicle/equipment readiness.
• May serve as an instrument person operating robotic total stations, GPS units, survey controllers and other related equipment and tools
• Following established safety procedures and using proper safety equipment
• Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and representatives in the field
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

This position requires heavy lifting and working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis. Traveling to construction sites throughout the Dakotas is an essential function of this position. A valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may also be required.

The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following

• An associate’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
  
  

OR

• If no degree, must have at least 2 years of relevant field surveying experience.
