Job Description
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Industrial HVAC Engineer in the Food & Beverage Group.
Responsibilities:
Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systems
Define system sanitary requirements for food production spaces
Determine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reduction
Produce food process area heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modes
Create psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditions
Develop instrument points list and sequence of operation
Developing project documentation including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.;
Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experience
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
On-site experience integrating equipment into existing systems
Specification of sanitary air handling equipment
Experience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projects
Proficiency in MS Office software
Experience mentoring less experienced staff
Food plant experience
PE
Experience running load calculations
Comfortable with leading project specific client contact

Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 - (Commensurate with experience)
