This exciting opportunity will be based at any of our national Mead & Hunt offices and will play a crucial role in the planning and design of airport-related projects.

Responsibilities Include
- Project management, preparing plans and specifications and designing airport lighting and associated controls as well as electrical vaults power sources and controls
- Designing airport lighting systems and associated controls to FAA standards for airport facilities and buildings
- Developing probable construction cost estimates for projects
- Analyzing and preparing reports, specifications, plans, schedules, permits, and designs for airfield lighting and signage projects
- Mentoring less experienced staff
- Developing and reviewing probable construction costs
- Providing construction administration and site visits
- Working closely with clients, partners and internal staff to achieve on-time and quality deliverables
- Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
- Assisting with business and fee development, and client communication
- Other tasks as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following Background
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- At least 8 years of relevant electrical experience
- Project management of AIP funded projects
- Designing electrical systems for airport building, electrical vaults, parking facilities and other general electrical designs at an airport to FAA standards
- Designing airport lighting systems and associated controls to UFC standards
- Preparing construction document drawings in AutoCAD
- Power design and analysis software (EasyPower and/or SKM Power Tools)
- Lighting calculations software (AGi32)
- Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
- Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
- PE license is strongly preferred but not required.
