Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a full-time experienced Civil Engineer to join our collaborative and innovative aviation team at any of the following office locations: Chicago, IL; De Pere, WI; Middleton, WI; West Allis, WI; or Minneapolis, MN. As a member of the project team, the Airport Civil Engineer will assist with design and construction administration of airport related projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing design and engineering services for a variety of airport infrastructure improvements
- Analyzing and preparing engineering design reports, specifications, construction cost estimates, and plans for various airport design projects
- Assisting with client interactions and communications
- Performing QA/QC tasks
- Assisting with project manager tasks
- Serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects
- Reading and interpreting FAA Specifications and Advisory Circulars, DOT specifications, geotechnical reports, and survey data to utilize in project designs.
A valid driver’s license and travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all the following:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
The ideal candidate will have any or all the following:
- EIT certification is preferred
- 4 years of relevant work experience is preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software
- Heavy civil construction experience

Salary Range: $80,000 to $107,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
