Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Bridge Designer. This role will sit in our Charleston, WV office.
Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and designing transportation bridge plans using various software programs
- Preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and designs
- Assisting QA/QC tasks
- Developing construction cost estimates
- A valid license and some travel will be required
The successful candidate will have all of the following
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least two years of relevant work experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- Preparing construction plans for bridges using MicroStation software
- Structure layout and geometry
- WVDOH experience including Structural Directives and Standard Specifications
- QA/QC for bridge projects
- Have successfully passed FE exam and have the ability to obtain a WV PE as soon as practical
