This position will work mostly independently and will conduct surveys throughout Wisconsin.
Responsibilities include:
- writing proposals
- Reviewing survey plats and legal descriptions
- Operating robotic total stations
- Performing courthouse research
- Conducting topographic surveys and boundary surveys
- Construction site staking
This position requires heavy lifting and working outside in a variety of conditions on a regular basis. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver's license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required.
The successful candidate will have:
- An associate degree (or higher) in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field and at least six years of relevant experience
OR
- A bachelor's degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field and at least four years of relevant experience
AND
- Registered Land Surveyor license required in the Wisconsin
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
- Boundary and topographic surveys
- Surveying equipment such as data collectors, robotic total stations and GPS devices
- Plat development including property record review and research
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
