Job Title: Regional MDS Coordinator
Location: Greater Kansas City, Missouri Area

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Regional MDS Coordinator to oversee and support the MDS (Minimum Data Set) process across multiple skilled nursing or long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all MDS assessments, while providing training, guidance, and audit support to facility-level MDS teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support MDS and RAI processes across assigned facilities
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Provide education and training for facility MDS coordinators and interdisciplinary teams
- Review documentation to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement
- Conduct audits and assist with quality assurance initiatives
- Serve as a resource for clinical and reimbursement guidance
- Collaborate with regional and facility leadership to improve MDS accuracy and outcomes
- Proficient in Missouri Case Mix Index
Qualifications:
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in Missouri required
- Minimum [3–5] years of MDS/RAI experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- RAC-CT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of PDPM, Medicare, and Medicaid guidelines
- Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to assigned facilities as needed
