Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Nurse Consultant to oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance within long-term care facilities in the Kansas City, Missouri region. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing expertise, management experience, and a deep understanding of healthcare regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead clinical quality initiatives, support facility staff, and promote best practices in patient care across multiple locations. Regional Nurse Consultant for this Kansas City, MO Region, will be responsible for four (4), facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on nursing practices, ensuring adherence to state healthcare regulations, long-term care standards, and HIPAA privacy requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments of clinical operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Offer management support to facility leadership by providing training, mentorship, and supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor medical documentation accuracy, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency through data analysis and process optimization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by preparing for inspections, audits, and licensing requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop policies that promote best practices in patient care, physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology application.
Experience
- Proven management experience within long-term care facilities or acute care settings with a focus on nursing leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations specific to long-term care and hospital environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, medical documentation, and medical records management.
- Strong background in patient care delivery with familiarity in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and nursing procedures.
- Experience in hospital or long-term care settings involving regulatory compliance, quality improvement projects, and clinical supervision.
- Excellent data analysis skills to evaluate clinical performance metrics and implement evidence-based improvements.
- Prior experience with management responsibilities related to nursing staff supervision, administrative clinical oversight, and staff development.
