Position Summary
The OSP Field Supervisor oversees FTTH construction projects, leading field operations for aerial, underground, and MDU fiber installations. This role manages vendors and subcontractors, enforces safety standards, handles permitting, and maintains strong community relations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors on FTTH projects, including aerial (pole line), underground (trenching/boring), and MDU installations.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor performance, contracts, and issue resolution.
- Enforce safety protocols (OSHA compliance), conduct briefings and audits, and investigate incidents.
- Coordinate and obtain permits with municipalities, utilities, and agencies.
- Engage with communities and residents to address concerns, coordinate access, and resolve issues.
- Ensure quality control, schedule adherence, and accurate reporting to management.
Requirements
- 5 years of OSP construction experience, including FTTH, aerial, underground, and MDU work.
- Proven experience managing vendors/subcontractors.
- Strong safety leadership background with knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Experience with permitting processes and community/stakeholder relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work in outdoor/field conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (W-2, full-time)
