JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing and PR Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing the strategic marketing initiatives for MDM Hotel Group. This role is responsible for driving brand repositioning, ensuring the successful communication of the hotels' full-scale renovations, and enhancing market share through innovative marketing strategies with a focus on digital, social media, and integrated campaigns targeting key market segments for revenue growth. Is familiar and competent with all functions of marketing including creative execution, media evaluation, production, and purchasing. Facilitates the creation and completion of marketing jobs to meet hotel revenue objectives. Liaisons with external public relations firms and tracks progress of PR projects. Coordinates and executes on property requests for film production, photo shoots and other similar activities. Oversee the daily activities of Marketing and PR.

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS

• Responsible for the company’s marketing objectives and contributes to creating marketing materials that effectively meet those objectives.
• Designs marketing, including advertising, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and other digitally created content.
• Work with Sales and Revenue Teams to develop and execute promotional strategies to achieve revenue growth and generate new leads.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support promotions, events, and guest experiences.
• Ensure all marketing initiatives are consistently aligned with brand standard of hotel, including their restaurants and ancillary revenue outlets.
• Promote the hotels' commitment to sustainable practices through marketing content.
• Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, and email marketing.
• Develop and execute robust social media strategy to engage audiences, highlight updates, and gain followers.
• Utilize platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to target corporations, associations, entertainment, sports, social clients, and meeting planners.
• Establish new partnerships with media outlets, local businesses, and influencers, to amplify the hotels' visibility.
• Maintain on-property digital signage and advertising.
• Responsible for maintenance and content on the hotel’s website and other on-line venues where the hotel is present.
• Understand overall sales and marketing objectives as well as individual department objectives to be able to assist other departments in creating marketing solutions to meet their needs as well as to be able to input on creative messaging and evaluation of marketing opportunities.
• Assist in the review and proof reading of externally produced sales and marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of work.
• Assist in the follow-up of public relations tasks in conjunction with outside PR resources.
• Interact and conduct tours with journalists and media.
• Respond to inquiries about using the premises for film production, photo shoots, etc. Coordinates these activities and supervises their execution.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, sit, lift, use finger dexterity, and have visual and hearing acuity.
• Follow detailed departmental guidelines.
• Generally, utilize computers with word processing and spreadsheet software. Typically operated standard office equipment such as telephone, fax, calculator, computer, and photocopier.
• Working conditions are good with little discomfort.

Education:

Minimum 2 years’ marketing project management experience.

Related Work Experience:

• An ability to listen effectively and to communicate with vendors and employees as well as handle administrative duties when necessary.
• Microsoft Office.
• Adobe programs.
• Photoshop/In Design.
