Now Hiring: Project Superintendent – Trader Joe’s - Syracuse, NY | 16-Week Project
MDM Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee our upcoming Trader Joe’s project in Syracuse, New York. This is a 16-week commercial project scheduled to begin mid-July.
We specialize in commercial, supermarket, grocery store, restaurant, and retail construction projects throughout New England and New York. Our ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who is client-focused, deadline-driven, highly organized, and understands that clear communication is critical to project success.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience. Compensation will be based on qualifications, project experience, certifications, and background.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors
• Maintain strong communication with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and field teams
• Manage and maintain project schedules
• Schedule inspections and coordinate onsite deliveries
• Maintain daily logs and project documentation
• Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals
• Oversee quality control and punch list completion
• Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient jobsite
Qualifications:
• 5 years of construction experience
• Previous supermarket, grocery store, restaurant, or retail construction experience preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification required
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and managerial skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safe construction practices
