Position Summary:
MDK, an innovative law firm, is seeking a Client Relationship Manager to join our Relationship Management and Business Development (RMBD) team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving satisfaction, loyalty, and growth. You will manage assigned client interactions, support business development initiatives, and help expand engagement within existing accounts while identifying new opportunities to deliver value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Serve as a primary point of contact, fostering long-term, trusting relationships and ensuring client expectations are understood and met.
- Develop Relationship Management Strategies: Collaborate with the RMBD team to create and execute strategies that deepen client engagement and align with client goals.
- Identify Client Value Opportunities: Recognize ways to enhance the quality, efficiency, and overall experience of services clients already use, strengthening MDK’s position and uncovering opportunities for additional engagements.
- Drive Business Expansion: Work with leadership to develop new business opportunities within existing client accounts, including strategy design, proposal presentation, and securing additional engagements.
- Promote MDK’s Brand and Capabilities: Actively position the firm as a trusted partner during client interactions and industry events.
- Client Communication and Advocacy: Serve as a client advocate within the firm, ensuring open communication, resolving issues, and anticipating client needs.
- Lead Client Meetings: Conduct monthly and quarterly client check-ins, including occasional in-person meetings, to align on needs, progress, and growth opportunities.
- Project Coordination: Oversee timelines and deliverables by collaborating with internal teams and maintaining consistent communication.
- Manage Escalated Client Issues: Facilitate resolution of complex client matters by coordinating with management and internal stakeholders.
- Support Client Materials and Presentations: Assist in creating and presenting client experience materials, messaging, and training resources.
- Enhance Brand Loyalty and Client Engagement: Promote MDK’s mission and values in all interactions to strengthen client trust and engagement.
- Participate in Client Travel and Industry Events: Build connections, showcase firm capabilities, and stay current on industry trends.
- Support Team and Firm Initiatives: Contribute to department and firm-wide goals and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Requires a high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred.
- Requires three or more years of related work experience in client relationship management, account management, or other client-facing roles in legal or professional services.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, project management and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office products and communication platforms.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- In-office presence to support team collaboration and in-person meetings and activities as needed.
Schedule & Benefits:
Our team works Monday through Friday, general business hours. After a successful orientation period, employees may follow a hybrid schedule: three days in the office and two days working from home. MDK provides a comprehensive benefit package, which includes:
