Overview
Major Functions:
Provide analysis and support to Fresh Directors and Sr. Director of Perishables.
ENTRY LEVEL HOURLY POSITION
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Process weekly/monthly procurement and category management dashboard in PowerBI
Run and analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports to provide data for procurement teams (both MDI and WLF) to make informed decisions.
Provide movement and inventory analysis on an ad-hoc basis for team members
Create reporting efficiencies for buyers, CM’s, and assistants
Proved category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and consumer data
Run and analyze pre and post analytics for category changes, and ads as well as elasticity reports
Compile financial reporting on categories and run reporting for item performance
Compile data for SKU rationalization and determining item regionality and performance
Provide and analyze IRI data as needed for category analysis
Monitors and evaluates marketing programs and segmentation strategies through analysis and sales data reports on patterns and trends
Provides ongoing support for private label programs including cost comparison analysis, void and penetration reports
Provides vendor & product related accruals to accounting for each closing period
Monitors and evaluates internal and external market data including new item/delist recommendations, pricing, promotions and merchandising effectiveness, and supplier score carding
Works with warehouse engineers and other analysts to maximize efficiencies of new buying and category management tools
Other duties as assigned along with learning other roles and backing up others in the department as needed
Spend time with the Buyers/team to understand their roles and offer reporting/insight that can assist the Buyers
Use multiple systems/data sets to understand and provide the data needed and determine the best sources
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Knowledge generally associated with an associate degree in business or related field
- Must be Advanced in Microsoft Word & Excel
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
