MDC has more than 65 outside sales representatives, as well as additional sales support, reporting to four regional offices. The company’s sales efforts extend further through a worldwide distribution network. A staff of approximately 70 associates are in MDC’s corporate headquarters.
Job Summary, Project Coordinators work in a fast-paced environment which involves coordinating projects with outside sales team, pricing, product sampling and technical product information for high volume specialty products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for quotation and project completion
- Communicate with multiple departments keeping projects on time and within budgetary constraints. This includes customers, sales team, suppliers, and supervisors
- Read and interpret architectural drawings. Specifically, Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP), Elevations, Fixture Schedules, job specifications etc.
- Prioritize workloads using input from outside and inside influences with a sense of urgency
- Generate formal quotations, enter and track sales orders through shipping while keeping in constant contact with customer and Sales on project status.
- Customer focused with a vision of continuously improving the customer experience
- Expedite, multi-task, and problem solve complex customer requests
- Learn company processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills,
- 1 years Project Management.
- Knowledgeable in current version of AutoCAD Drawing Viewer, AutoCAD, and Revit software a plus
- An understanding of interior design as related to wall covering products and capable of supporting alternatives to customer for a variety of design/architectural solutions a plus
- Organization skills to prioritize and plan accordingly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, Word
- Design experience working with architectural and design firms a plus
- Knowledge of Acoustic performance in workspaces a plus
