Position Title: Land Use Planner

The Land Use Planner will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of zoning entitlements and construction permits for our Wireless Telecommunication and Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) infrastructure teams. This role demands a deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, particularly as they pertain to telecommunications and EVCS projects. The ideal candidate will provide regulatory expertise, draft zoning reports for jurisdiction applications, and drive site acquisition efforts. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the position requires building relationships with jurisdictions, leading public hearings, and providing project updates to clients.

Position Type: Full Time

Compensation: $25.00/hr.

The Role

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of Small Cell telecommunications projects from assignment through jurisdiction approval while maintaining accurate and timely project documentation.
  • Maintain current and accurate project forecasts, complete proactive follow-up with jurisdictions and stakeholders, and meet submission and approval timelines using established Small Cell shot clock expectations.
  • Prepare and submit complete, accurate entitlement and permit applications while responding promptly to jurisdiction comments and client requests.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies to identify solutions and keep projects progressing toward approval.
  • Provide support for Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects as business needs require, with Small Cell telecommunications serving as the primary area of responsibility.
  • Monitor project forecast dates and adjust schedules as necessary to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with design teams to offer creative solutions to ensure project approvals.
  • Review and interpret construction documents related to wireless and EVCS infrastructure.
  • Drive project efficiency by proactively identifying and resolving challenges.

  • Strong ability to interpret zoning, planning, and building codes across a wide range of jurisdictions, including state and federal requirements.
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Take initiative in project management.
  • Highly adaptable of navigating complex regulatory environments while managing multiple, fast-paced projects.

You Have:

  • A college degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
