About the Role
MD Investments is seeking a reliable and motivated Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations of our self storage facilities. This hands-on position blends customer service, sales, and property management to ensure each facility remains secure, clean, and welcoming.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both administrative and operational responsibilities. This position requires flexibility, leadership, and the ability to travel between multiple facilities to maintain consistency, uphold company standards, and ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple self storage facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service for inquiries, rentals, payments, and account management.
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all common areas, storage units, and facility grounds.
- Manage office and maintenance inventory; order and restock supplies as necessary.
- Monitor local market and competitor activity to assist with pricing and rate adjustments.
- Recommend appropriate storage options and close rental agreements effectively.
- Process leases, collect payments, and maintain accurate and organized records.
- Enforce lease terms, facility rules, and safety standards consistently.
- Handle delinquent accounts and collections in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in self storage, property management, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic math proficiency for payment processing and account management.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Willingness to travel locally between facilities as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Experience with SiteLink or similar property management software (preferred).
- Background in collections or accounts receivable (a plus).
Schedule
Full-time position with standard 8-hour shifts.
Weekday and weekend availability required; morning/daytime shifts preferred.
