Are you a law student with an interest in Estate Planning, Probate Administration, and Real Estate? MCV Law is seeking a bright and dedicated Law Clerk to join our busy Estates Department. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. This position is part-time during the semester and increases to full-time during the summer. This is an in-office position working primarily from the Chittenango.

- Estate Planning: Assisting in the drafting of estate documents, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts.
- Probate and Estate Administration: Preparing and filing court documents required for probate applications and aiding in the inventory, valuation, and distribution of estate assets.
- Real Estate: Conducting due diligence, preparing and reviewing closing documents.
- Legal Research: Performing detailed legal research on complex issues.
- Client Management: Maintaining organized client files, drafting correspondence, and assisting with client communication under the supervision of an attorney.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited J.D. program
- Strong academic performance, particularly in relevant coursework
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough and efficient legal research (LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive client information.
