McQuillen Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer located 20 minutes south of Rochester in Honeoye Falls, NY. We specialize in 5 axis machining of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. We operate in a modern 75,000 ft2 air-conditioned facility equipped with 5 axis machining centers such as Matsuura, DMG, Mazak, Yasda and Hermle.
McQuillen Manufacturing is seeking experienced candidates for this role, ideal for individuals with advanced skills and a strong background in precision machining.
Responsibilities
CNC Setup Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating 5 axis machining centers to produce components that meet customer supplied specifications. Duties include setting up tooling packages, modular and custom work holding and fixturing, setting tool lengths, machine offsets and probing. Collaborates with programming and quality assurance teams to ensure successful production of a compliant first article part and uphold 100% quality standards throughout production runs.

Qualifications
· At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Machining Centers, including configuring complex tooling and work-holding solutions.
· Proficiency with Fanuc controls is required; experience with Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazatrol is a strong plus.
· Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Skilled in using precision inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages and thread gages.
