What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Driver position at McPherson Area Solid Waste Utiltiy?
Responsibilities:
- Operates equipment, and assists with manual labor, in the collection and disposal of refuse.
- May be responsible for specific routes and/or transporting a variety of refuse containers.
- May perform minor mechanical maintenance on equipment.
- May need to complete basic daily paperwork.
- May need to respond to, or report, customer issues.
- Must obey traffic laws and safety guidelines when operating company equipment.
- Will routinely work overtime hours.
- Will on occasion need to work Saturdays.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A valid Class B commercial driver's license.
- Pass a DOT Physical & Drug Screening
- A minimum of 2 years driver training or experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.50 per hour
