Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial heating and cooling systems, troubleshooting experience, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing complex HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and VRF systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize system performance and longevity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with building engineers, facility managers, and contractors on HVAC system design and performance.
- Document all work performed, including service reports and parts used using company ERP system.
- Respond to emergency (weekends/afterhours) HVAC service requests as needed.
- Stay up to date with advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- EPA Universal certification required.
- Knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or extreme weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
